100 acres recreation/hunting land. Here is how he owner describes it....
We have this beautiful land in Marquette Co., WI and owned some of it for over 57 years. Our children love it as much now as when they were little in 1962. We have been fully enjoying the property and the nature & prairie it generously provided for our family and friends. The portion we have for sale has a variety of land formations, some higher, build-able areas, some forested areas and the most beautiful are the lower areas which harbor our wild friend. This property has huge White Oak, Red Oak, White Pine and more, which can be harvested to build beautiful furniture, homes, cabins or? If you have ever seen ¼ sawn white oak, it is just beautiful! We have established roads on the property which are vehicle friendly all year and sensitive paths/roads for walking or ATV travel.
There is an older farm house and a grainery/garage on the property. The original part of the home was built with logs in the late 1800's, which I understand from the neighbors, of 8 family members farmed the property. The log portion was home to these folks with no electric and only a well for water. The wind mill is still standing. Around 1935, electric came to the area. An addition (stick built) was added to the log portion. “Walla”, water in pipes for the kitchen and bath, electric in the living room and downstairs bedroom. Upstairs lies a small and a very large bedroom. There is an in-ground food cellar under the enclosed, rustic porch along with a small staircase leading to the upstairs where the farming family of 8 must have slept in the 1800's. Also, a partial basement houses the well, pump and hot water heater. The house was heated initially with wood in the large kitchen and 1 stove in the living room. Now, 2 propane heaters are used. The house needs work and certain individuals may see it as a restoration project, while others may think to tear down and build new. Either way, the location is beautiful with a view to the pond. All surrounding land is owned by large tract owners.
This beautiful “Gods Land” is very quiet, peaceful and beautiful. I can show you three grafts/fence posts. Grafts that were started in the 1930's. Some real great history. Property has a large, unbelievable pond approximately 12' deep with fish and a pier, which makes it exceptional for swimming, fishing and relaxation. Our children learned how to swim in these ponds during the summer months.
“The Tamaracks” sanctuary is just beautiful! It was used years ago for harvesting black spruce for Christmas trees for local folks.
Access is from the town road and state trunk highway, only 2 miles to small town, gas station, grocery, hardware and of course, taverns. Forty minutes west of Oshkosh and/or Fond du Lac.
Best deer and turkey hunting in the area. Plenty of room for gun and archery range. Open areas for food plots.
Multi family retreat. Buddy-up for deer hunting land, hunt clubs or excellent home site estate. This beautiful, approximately 100 acres is a must see and a rare find. Asking price is $ 390,000. (corrected price, NOT $490,000)
